Eye Nutrition – See a better future

How to fuel our eye health…

There has been research in America recently that suggests that poor diet is now the world’s biggest killer, even over smoking. Let that sink in… Did you know that your eyes need fuel too? Your eye health is dependent upon your overall health so, put simply, you ‘reap what you sew’. As everyone knows, if you choose to eat badly and treat your body badly then you will suffer in the long run.

People often believe that failing eyesight is an inevitable result of ageing or eye strain. In truth, a healthy lifestyle can significantly reduce the risk of eye health problems in later life.

Are you eating enough of the following foods? There are lots of essential oils, vitamins and minerals for our eyes in food that we take for granted. A healthy lifestyle incorporating the following:-

Oily fish,

Leafy greens,

Citrus fruits,

Sweet potato

Additionally and very importantly WATER will only help with your quality of vision and eye heath overall.

Keep and eye on what’s going on behind those lids with our Advanced Eye Examination. We will not only check your vision, but also use the OCT machine to check for early signs of Glaucoma, Macula Degeneration and anything else that may be lurking. This eye examination will take about 45 minutes of clinical time and is for those of you who want to take the very best care of your eyes. After carefully discussing your eye health, visual requirements and lifestyle, we will conduct a highly detailed examination of your eyes; including the appropriate use of the latest techniques and technology, making sure to explain and answer any questions about what’s happening at every stage. After consideration of the findings we will then create with you, a tailored eye health plan that details exactly how you can best look after your eyes and recommend an appropriate program of follow up appointments.

Next week:-

Park Vision is among one of the first practices in the country to acquire the MP-eye, a state-of-the-art technology for assessing key risk factors for age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
