Michelle Beach // Founder & Optometrist
Michelle graduated in Optometry from Cardiff University in 1993 and came to Nottingham to complete her training in the eye department in Queen’s Medical Centre. Michelle specialised in low vision aid, children’s clinics and corneal research. She was awarded research prizes in the UK and USA for her work studies in corneal graft surgery.
Michelle is passionate about sport, having competed in swimming and running to County standard and achieved England status in Women’s Basketball. Michelle holds her Advanced Padi in scuba diving is a competent skier and horsewoman and has managed to sprain; break and batter most body parts at attempts at various other sports including volley ball, tennis, trampolining, netball, shooting and even the odd bungee catapault! This keen interest in sport led to her achieving, with distinction, her Sports Vision Diploma in 2008.
Michelle enjoys working with children, having twins of her own, and has a designated area for children at Park Vision. Her keen interest in children and drive to improve children’s learning in school led to her studying for her School Vision Diploma in 2010. She is still undergoing research in this field.Michelle also follows the fashion trends of eyewear and is a firm believer that everyone should feel and look great in their glasses whatever their budget. She has attended eyewear exhibitions in Milan, trained with style consultants on colour and shape and been to London on training courses on frame style.
Park Vision is a fusion of Michelle’s passions in life: optometry, sport and fashion…

She was awarded research prizes in the UK and USA for her work studies in corneal graft surgery. Michelle set up Park Vision to offer a bespoke service for any visual need.
It’s all about spending time with people from the moment they walk into the practice – listening to their needs, using top of the range equipment to give excellent eye examinations, then helping them choose the right eyewear.
To say Michelle is serious about sport is an understatement. She swam at county level, ran to competition standard and achieved England status in women’s basketball. She holds an Advanced Padi in scuba diving, and is a competent skier and horsewoman.
She’s also sprained, broken and battered most body parts in the enjoyment of volleyball, tennis, trampolining and netball to name a few. It’s no surprise that she holds a Sports Vision Diploma, with distinction. Michelle has looked after many athletes vision including Harlequins rugby, GB Speed Skaters, England VolleyBall, England Lacrosse, GB Ice Hockey, England Ladies Cricket.
Michelle is a dedicated follower of eyewear fashion trends and firmly believes that everyone should look and feel great in their glasses, whatever their budget.
She has attended eyewear exhibitions in Milan, Paris & London trained with style consultants on colour and shape, and been on frame style, contact lens and lens training courses in Frankfurt, Budapest and London.
You’ll often find her raving about the latest styles, colours and lenses with customers.

Camilla Anderson // Practice Manager & Stylist
As well as overseeing the day to day management of the practice and business development, Camilla has a passion for personalised styling and current optical trends. This passion has helped earn Park Vision it’s reputation for cutting edge fashion and high-end style.
Camilla has spent time in London at frame design workshops, Paris at frame shows and with local style consultants – this knowledge and experience means that she always matches the perfect frame to your face shape. She is available for private style consultations on request and knows exactly what frame shape and colour will enhance your features to find your perfect look.
Dawn Lewis // Dispensing Optician
Dawn has been working in optics for 24 years and qualified as a Dispensing Optician 17 years ago. Dawn loves all aspects of her job but particularly helping patients choose their new frames. Dawn is fashion mad and her goal is to make you look your best in the most up to date styles. Dawn will ensure the frame is an excellent fit, comfortable and completely suited to your face and your lifestyle.
Dawn took her passion for fashion a step further and trained to be a personal stylist. When she’s away from Park Vision, Dawn spends her time styling and taking clients shopping for clothes as well!
Gavin was appointed as a Consultant in Nottingham in 1993 after training in Los Angeles and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
He has been responsible for establishing Nottingham University Hospital as a major referral centre for retinal disease in the East Midlands. As well as his work for the NHS, Gavin consults privately at Park Vision or The BMI Park Hospital, and operates at the BMI and Nottingham Woodthorpe.
Gavin is always on hand as medical advisor to Park Vision.
